Random US vs UK question

9 times out of 10 when I say "mugged" over here in the states, I get weird looks. Everyone else says "bunkered." Is "mugging" a UK term I picked up from PGI or what? Like I said, random question so please don't flame me for making a stupid post. I know it's stupid. You know when you wonder about something really trivial but it drives you nuts cause you don't know?

Sorry fella, it's 5.45 in the evening here, keep forgetting your US mate.
Anyway, I'm a recovering alcoholic, I've admitted I have a problem, but you can forget the other 11 steps.
