I want to add about 10 secs of black screen to a few mpeg2's (at the start of the timeline )and Premier is pretty confusing to a noob ..any ideas how to start (other than reading the whole fekin manual)

If you go to file ---> new ---> black video should do it...

If not, click into the clip window and right click, new clip, black video or summat like that.

ahh sorry Im not being clear ,I dont have the black clips ,there is a about 2 secs of black video on one of the mpegs ,I want to copy it and paste it on the front of the other mpegs so it plays first (unfortunately it doesnt seem as easy as copying and pasting though,

Im trying to achieve a few secs of silence and black screen before the mpeg starts playing , a bit of fade in time for a AV job at a museum, so it all has to be saved as one clip..ie lights dim, black screen for a few secs then clip continues on to how it was previously..
