Running the Pump guns on air?

An other way of running CO2 is with a siphon tube in the bottle (old school) so the gun pulls up licquid co2 after the first couple of pumps .The advantage of this is more consistant speed ,Disadvantage is not all guns can run on liquid,it is a lot harder on orings and in the winter its is like fog city, you just can't see;)

Why do so many people use Co2 for Pumps then :/ (When i mean "So many peope" i mean all the youtube videos i have watched =p)
Im a big CO2 / PUMP fan - assuming the weather in on the plus side of 40 degrees. Palmer Stabilizers help a ton - and once broken in are incredibly stable.

one trendy bit in the US is the usage of the 13CI x 3000psi tanks w/ myth regs - 150 to 200 shots, long enough to shoulder like a stock and just cute.
